Information Security Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Information Security Manager to lead their security initiatives from their Coventry office. This senior position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's information security program, including policy development, risk management, and incident response. You will build and manage a high-performing security team, ensuring that robust security controls are in place to protect critical data and systems. This role is integral to maintaining the trust of our clients and partners and ensuring regulatory compliance in an increasingly complex threat landscape, operating within a company that values leadership and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall information security strategy and roadmap.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the information security team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Manage the incident response process, including investigation, remediation, and post-incident analysis.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
• Conduct regular security awareness training for all employees.
• Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in information security , with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing comprehensive security programs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls , IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant Master's degree or certifications (CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
