Information Security Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Information Security Officer to oversee security policies and procedures from their Sunderland office. This role is crucial for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's information assets. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security controls, monitoring compliance, and responding to potential security threats. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies and standards across the organization.
• Conduct regular security awareness training for all employees.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in an information security or IT governance role.
• Solid understanding of information security principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with security tools and technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences in Sunderland .
