Information Security Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Information Security Officer to oversee and implement security measures within their organization in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is key to ensuring the protection of information assets and maintaining compliance with relevant data protection regulations. You will be responsible for developing and enforcing security policies, conducting training, and responding to security incidents. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct regular security awareness training for all employees to promote a security-conscious culture.
• Monitor and manage security systems, including access controls, firewalls, and antivirus software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) in an information security or IT security role.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, network security, and risk management.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, including SIEM and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
