Our client is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Information Security Specialist to join their dedicated security team in Nottingham . This role is instrumental in implementing and maintaining security controls, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will contribute to the overall security strategy and help protect the organization's valuable data assets. Key Responsibilities

Implement, configure, and manage security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection.
Conduct regular security awareness training for employees and monitor compliance.
Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing timely resolution and post-incident analysis.
Assist in the development and enforcement of information security policies and procedures.
Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
Maintain documentation related to security controls, configurations, and incident reports.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security or a closely related IT security role.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, and data protection.
Experience with security tools, including SIEM, antivirus, and vulnerability scanners.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with IT teams and business users.
