Information Security Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Information Security Specialist to enhance their security framework in Wolverhampton . This role focuses on implementing and managing security controls, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to security policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage technical security controls, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in information security, risk management, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001), and compliance requirements.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proactive attitude towards identifying and addressing security risks.
