This role is vital for implementing and maintaining security controls, responding to security events, and supporting the overall security program. You will work closely with various departments to promote security awareness and compliance across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems, and access management.
- Monitor security systems for potential threats and anomalies, performing initial analysis and escalation of security incidents.
- Assist in the development and execution of security awareness training programs for employees.
- Support compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities, and assist in remediation efforts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports for cybersecurity operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in an information security or cybersecurity role.
- Solid understanding of core security concepts, including network security, endpoint security, and data protection principles.
- Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, antivirus software, and vulnerability scanners.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot security issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for collaborating effectively in a remote setting and promoting security best practices.
