Our client is seeking a motivated Infrastructure Design Engineer to join their expanding practice based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for developing innovative solutions for a range of infrastructure projects, including highways, public realm, and utilities. You will play a key part in the design and planning phases, working closely with a team of experienced professionals to deliver sustainable and efficient designs. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop infrastructure solutions for highways, drainage, and associated services.
- Utilize CAD software to produce detailed drawings, models, and calculations.
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to inform design decisions.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant national and local standards, including DMRB and Sewers for Adoption.
- Collaborate with project managers and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Contribute to tender preparation and client liaison, maintaining strong professional relationships.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in infrastructure design , specifically within the UK context.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant hydraulic modelling software.
- Familiarity with UK highway design standards and environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
