You'll spend most of your week working at network points of presence and customer premises, with some time based in the office. What we're looking for
2+ years' experience in a hands-on field engineering, infrastructure or data centre role Practical experience working within major data centre environments Strong copper termination and testing skills, including patch panels and keystones Good understanding of structured cabling standards and installation best practice Experience installing wireless access points from designs or heat maps Confidence using appropriate test equipment to prove and troubleshoot connectivity Excellent attention to detail, particularly around cable management and working within live environments Comfortable working independently and dealing directly with customers, landlords and data centre teams Comfortable working at height, in risers and plant rooms, and handling equipment Full UK driving licence and confidence driving around London Strong organisation and documentation skills Experience with fibre splicing, OTDR testing and wireless surveying would be particularly useful. Exposure to enterprise wireless platforms, wireless survey tools, DCIM/documentation platforms or structured cabling manufacturer certifications would also be advantageous.
Relevant qualifications such as CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, working-at-height or first-aid training would be beneficial but aren't essential.
Why join?
Employee share plan and bonus scheme 25 days' annual leave, increasing with service, plus bank holidays Private healthcare and discounted gym membership Company pension, life assurance and income protection Mental health and wellbeing support Cycle-to-work scheme, travel loan and free eye tests Opportunity to develop further skills across fibre, wireless and IP networking Varied, practical work across a large-scale London technology environment This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and taking ownership of work on site.
