Job Description
INFRASTRUCTURETEAM LEADER
As the Infrastructure Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the delivery, support, and continual improvement of critical infrastructure services across the organisation's enterprise technology estate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery and continuous improvement of secure, reliable, and high-performing server, storage, and data centre environments.
- Owning disaster recovery, backup, and resilience capabilities, ensuring recovery objectives are achieved and regularly tested.
- Managing incident response, root cause analysis, capacity planning, and infrastructure service improvements.
- Driving infrastructure strategy, technology adoption, operational efficiency, and compliance with governance and cybersecurity standards.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of infrastructure professionals whilst working closely with stakeholders and third-party technology partners.
Essential Experience
- Minimum five years' experience working within Microsoft-based infrastructure environments.
- Strong expertise across server technologies, enterprise infrastructure platforms, and hybrid storage solutions.
- Proven experience supporting business-critical infrastructure environments.
- Demonstrable experience delivering infrastructure upgrades, platform development, and operational improvements.
- Experience coordinating infrastructure services across multiple geographical locations and working with third-party providers.
Technical Expertise
- VMware and virtualisation technologies.
- Server infrastructure and performance monitoring technologies.
- Cloud infrastructure and Microsoft technology stack.
- ITIL framework and service management best practices.
- Backup, disaster recovery, resilience, and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
Desirable Experience
- Automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Container technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience working within regulated environments and compliance frameworks such as SOX and ISO.
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent.
