Infrastructure Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Infrastructure Project Manager to lead key projects from their Southampton office. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of managing the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the success of significant infrastructure developments in Hampshire and beyond, fostering a culture of efficiency, safety, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment and performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure all project activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience (7+ years) in project management, specifically within the infrastructure or civil engineering sector.
• A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with relevant stakeholders and regulatory bodies in the UK.
