About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join their respected firm in Cambridge . You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of significant infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves overseeing all aspects of project execution, from planning and design coordination to construction supervision and stakeholder management. You will work closely with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes, contributing to the development of essential infrastructure within the Cambridgeshire region. This is a crucial role demanding strong leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of infrastructure projects, including planning, design, procurement, and construction.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against them.
- Oversee contract administration and manage relationships with contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including clients, design teams, and site personnel.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues proactively to prevent delays or cost overruns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering , Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management within the infrastructure sector.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and software (e.g., MS Project).
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, contract law, and site safety practices.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
