About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join their team, primarily serving the Plymouth, Devon area. This role involves the hands-on installation, setup, and testing of specialized equipment at client sites, ensuring everything operates according to specifications. You will be responsible for the initial setup, calibration, and handover of systems, often working closely with clients to ensure a smooth transition. This hybrid role offers a mix of on-site client engagement and remote administrative tasks, requiring flexibility and strong technical acumen.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission new equipment and systems at customer locations.
- Perform thorough testing and calibration to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients during and after the installation process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during commissioning.
- Prepare detailed commissioning reports and update project documentation.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure project requirements are met.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical installation and commissioning roles.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or software systems relevant to the industry.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Good communication and customer service skills for client interaction in Plymouth .
- Willingness to travel and work on-site as required by the project.
