About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Installation Engineer with a strong focus on electrical systems to join their team in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire . This role requires an individual with expertise in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical components and systems within various projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations meet stringent safety standards and operational requirements. This is a key position within our Installation & Maintenance department, demanding precision and a thorough understanding of electrical engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and wire electrical equipment, control panels, and associated systems according to technical drawings.
- Perform comprehensive testing and commissioning of electrical installations to verify functionality and safety.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Adhere strictly to electrical safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Maintain detailed records of installation work, testing procedures, and materials used.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Installation Engineer or in a similar electrical role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles, wiring, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Relevant electrical qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to travel to sites within the Nottingham area and potentially further afield.
