About the Role

Our client requires a detail-oriented Installation Technician to join their growing operations in Cardiff . This position involves the precise installation and setup of specialized equipment for a diverse client base across Wales . You will be responsible for ensuring that all installations are completed to the highest standards, meeting client specifications and regulatory requirements. This role demands a practical mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, playing a key role in delivering the company's services effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out site surveys and prepare for installations, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are available.
• Install and configure equipment according to detailed instructions and technical drawings.
• Perform initial testing and commissioning to verify correct operation post-installation.
• Address and resolve any technical issues or snags encountered during the installation process.
• Provide basic user guidance to clients on the operation of newly installed systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all customer sites.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a technical installation or field service role is essential.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, and experience working with various materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and installation guides.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude when dealing with clients.
• Flexibility to travel within the region and occasional overnight stays.
