About the Role
Our client is recruiting for an enthusiastic Installation Technician to join their growing team in Cardiff , responsible for the professional installation of specialized systems at client sites across Wales. This role is essential for ensuring that new installations meet the highest standards of quality and functionality, directly impacting client satisfaction and project success. The successful candidate will be practical, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a small team, embodying the company's commitment to excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure equipment and systems according to project specifications and technical drawings.
- Perform initial testing and commissioning of newly installed systems to verify functionality and performance.
- Provide basic user training and handover to clients upon completion of installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all client installation sites in Cardiff and surrounding areas.
- Complete and submit accurate installation reports, checklists, and timesheets promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Installation Technician or similar hands-on technical role is essential.
- Strong understanding of mechanical assembly and basic electrical wiring principles.
- Ability to interpret installation manuals, schematics, and site plans.
- Good physical condition, capable of lifting and maneuvering equipment as required.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Full UK driving license and a willingness to travel locally within Cardiff and throughout Wales.
