Instrumentation and Control Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join their industrial operations team. This on-site role focuses on the design, implementation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems essential for process automation and monitoring. You will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of our operational processes. This position is perfect for an engineer who enjoys hands-on work and has a deep understanding of process control technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, specify, and select instrumentation, sensors, and control devices for industrial processes.
• Develop and implement control strategies, including PID control and advanced process control (APC).
• Configure, calibrate, and maintain process instruments (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
• Develop and maintain P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and control system documentation.
• Ensure systems comply with safety standards and operational requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering , Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of process instrumentation, control valves , and actuators.
• Experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA system configuration, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read and interpret complex P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for on-site troubleshooting.
