About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and knowledgeable Insurance Compliance Officer to join their team in Oxford . This role is critical for ensuring the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies governing the insurance industry. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs, conducting internal audits, and providing guidance to staff on regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of insurance compliance, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to foster a culture of compliance throughout the organisation, operating within a hybrid office and remote framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company's operations.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to regulations and policies.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.
- Investigate potential compliance breaches and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant insurance regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA in the UK).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
