About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Insurance Data Analyst to join their expanding operations, this role is based remotely and will support the team based in Sunderland . You will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and analyzing large datasets related to insurance policies, claims, and market trends. Your insights will be critical in informing business strategy, improving operational efficiency, and identifying opportunities for growth. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and process large volumes of insurance-related data from various sources.
• Develop and implement data analysis models and reports to identify key trends, patterns, and insights.
• Interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams to support data-driven decision-making.
• Create visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate complex analytical results.
• Stay current with data analysis tools, techniques, and best practices within the insurance industry .

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst , preferably within the financial services or insurance sector.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python (with libraries like Pandas, NumPy), R, or similar.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Excellent understanding of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field is required.
