About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques for applications such as fraud detection, risk assessment, and customer segmentation.
- Clean, transform, and analyze large, complex datasets from various sources within the insurance domain.
- Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate the effectiveness of new models or strategies.
- Collaborate with product managers, actuaries, and business stakeholders to identify key business challenges and opportunities where data science can provide solutions.
- Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence relevant to the insurance industry.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong preference for experience in the insurance sector.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Expertise in data manipulation, statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, data structures, and industry challenges is highly desirable.
