Insurance Investigator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Investigator to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . In this role, you will be responsible for investigating suspicious or potentially fraudulent insurance claims, gathering evidence, and conducting interviews to determine the validity of claims. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing for a balance of field investigations and office-based reporting and analysis. You will play a critical role in protecting the company from financial loss due to fraudulent activity, ensuring integrity within the claims process and contributing to the overall efficiency and fairness of the insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into suspicious insurance claims across various policy types.
• Gather evidence, including reviewing documentation, interviewing claimants, witnesses, and relevant parties.
• Analyze information and assess the likelihood of fraud, preparing detailed reports of findings.
• Liaise with internal departments, law enforcement, and legal counsel as required.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all investigative activities.
• Utilize surveillance techniques and other investigative tools where appropriate and legally permissible.

Requirements

• Previous experience in fraud investigation , claims handling, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interviewing and communication skills, with the ability to remain objective.
• Proficiency in using investigative databases and research tools.
• A valid driving license and the flexibility to travel for investigations are essential.
• Understanding of insurance policies and the claims investigation process.
