About the Role

Our client seeks an innovative and market-aware Insurance Product Developer to join their strategic product team, based in Southampton . This role is responsible for the design, development, and lifecycle management of new and existing insurance products across various lines of business. You will conduct market research, analyze competitor offerings, and translate customer needs into profitable and competitive insurance solutions. Working in a hybrid model, you'll collaborate with underwriting, marketing, legal, and claims teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing performance. This is a key position for someone with a passion for product innovation in the dynamic insurance landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of new insurance products, from concept to market launch.
• Conduct market analysis, competitor research, and feasibility studies to identify opportunities.
• Define product features, pricing strategies, and underwriting guidelines in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Manage the product lifecycle, including performance monitoring, enhancements, and potential withdrawal.
• Ensure all product designs comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Develop and deliver training materials to support sales and operational teams on new products.

Requirements

• Significant experience in insurance product development , management, or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of the UK insurance market, regulatory environment, and customer needs.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and work collaboratively across functions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable discussing product strategy with stakeholders.
