About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and innovative Insurance Product Development Manager to join their team in Bristol . This senior role is responsible for the end-to-end development and management of new insurance products, from conception through to launch and ongoing review. You will conduct market research, analyze competitor offerings, and work closely with actuarial, legal, and marketing teams to create compelling and profitable products that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements. This hybrid role requires regular collaboration with the Bristol office while allowing for focused remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead market research and analysis to identify opportunities for new insurance products and enhancements.
- Develop business cases, product specifications, and pricing strategies for new insurance offerings.
- Collaborate with actuarial, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure product viability and regulatory adherence.
- Manage the product development lifecycle, coordinating cross-functional teams through design, testing, and launch phases.
- Monitor product performance post-launch, analyzing key metrics and implementing improvements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and customer feedback to maintain a competitive product portfolio.
Requirements
- Proven experience in insurance product development, management, or a closely related strategic role.
- Strong understanding of the insurance market, product lifecycle, and regulatory landscape.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Relevant degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CII) are highly valued.
