About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and strategic Insurance Product Development Manager to lead product innovation and development initiatives from their Oxford base. This role is central to identifying market opportunities, designing new insurance products, and refining existing offerings to meet evolving customer needs and competitive pressures. You will work collaboratively across departments, including marketing, underwriting, and actuarial, to bring cutting-edge products to market. The position requires a blend of market insight, strategic thinking, and project management skills, operating within a dynamic hybrid work structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of new insurance products , from concept generation to market launch.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for product innovation.
- Define product strategy, features, pricing, and target markets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage the product lifecycle, including monitoring performance, gathering feedback, and implementing enhancements.
- Ensure all new and existing products comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Develop compelling product documentation, marketing materials, and sales training resources.
Requirements
- Proven experience in product development or product management, ideally within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of insurance markets, product structures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
