About the Role
Our client is seeking a sharp and analytical Insurance Risk Analyst to join their team, operating in a hybrid capacity with opportunities for remote work. Based near Brighton , you will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks across the company's insurance portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of insurance data to identify emerging risks, trends, and potential areas of exposure.
- Develop and implement risk models and assessment frameworks to quantify and forecast potential losses.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams to integrate risk insights into business strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on risk exposures, mitigation strategies, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and advise on changes in the regulatory landscape and their potential impact on the company's risk profile.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in risk analysis, actuarial science, or a related role within the insurance industry.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and SQL.
- Excellent understanding of insurance products, markets, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
