About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and meticulous Insurance Risk Analyst to join their team in Belfast . This role is crucial for identifying, assessing, and mitigating the financial and operational risks faced by the company. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, conducting scenario analyses, and providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making. Working within a hybrid model, you'll collaborate closely with various departments, including underwriting, claims, and finance, to ensure the stability and resilience of the insurance business. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks and methodologies across the organisation.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial, operational, and market risks affecting the business.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative risk assessments, including scenario modelling and stress testing.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with business units to identify, assess, and manage emerging risks and control gaps.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in risk analysis, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python).
- Understanding of risk management principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
