About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Insurance Risk Analyst to join their hybrid team in Bristol . This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks across the company's insurance operations. You will conduct in-depth analysis of data to evaluate risk exposures, develop strategies for risk reduction, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The hybrid nature of this role allows for both focused independent work remotely and collaborative engagement in the office, ensuring a dynamic and productive approach to managing and minimizing risk for the organization, safeguarding its financial health and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with insurance products, operations, and investments.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and frameworks.
- Analyze financial data and market trends to forecast potential risk exposures.
- Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and recommendations for senior management.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with risk management standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriting and claims, to implement risk mitigation measures.
- Contribute to the development of risk tolerance policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience in risk analysis, preferably within the insurance industry .
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent understanding of risk management principles and insurance regulations.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
