About the Role

Our client is looking for a sharp and analytical Insurance Risk Assessor to join their team in Derby . In this hybrid role, you will play a critical part in evaluating the potential risks associated with insuring individuals or businesses. You will analyze detailed information, assess financial stability, and determine the likelihood of claims, ultimately advising on the terms and conditions of insurance policies. This position requires a methodical approach and strong judgment skills, combining office-based collaboration with remote flexibility to foster a balanced and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze applications and related documentation to identify and evaluate potential risks.
• Determine the insurability of applicants based on risk profiles and company guidelines.
• Calculate appropriate premiums and recommend policy terms and conditions.
• Conduct research on industry-specific risks and emerging trends.
• Communicate risk assessment findings and recommendations to underwriters and sales teams.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments and decisions made.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Previous experience in risk assessment , underwriting, or a related financial services role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Understanding of insurance principles and risk management concepts.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
