Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications, assessing risk exposure and determining the insurability of applicants.
• Set appropriate premiums, deductibles, and policy terms based on risk analysis and underwriting guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with insurance brokers and agents to gather necessary information and explain underwriting decisions.
• Monitor the performance of underwritten policies and identify trends or potential issues.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company underwriting standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Insurance Underwriter , with a strong understanding of risk assessment principles.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial data, statistical information, and other relevant documentation.
• Knowledge of UK insurance market regulations and practices.
• Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• A degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant professional certifications.
