Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with company guidelines and profitability targets.
• Assess applications, analyse data, and conduct risk assessments for new and existing policies.
• Determine appropriate premiums, terms, and conditions for insurance cover.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with brokers and clients.
• Monitor the performance of your underwriting portfolio and identify trends or areas for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and underwriting best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Insurance Underwriter with a strong track record in risk assessment and pricing.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance products, markets, and underwriting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with brokers.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as ACII are highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage a demanding workload.
