About the Role

Our client, a renowned technology firm based in Cambridge , is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Counsel to join their innovative legal team. This role is critical for safeguarding and advancing the company's IP assets, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. You will advise on IP strategy, manage IP portfolios, negotiate IP-related agreements, and handle IP disputes. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's global intellectual property strategy.
• Manage the prosecution and maintenance of patent, trademark, and design portfolios.
• Advise on IP issues related to R&D, product development, and commercialization.
• Draft and negotiate IP-focused agreements, including licensing, collaboration, and R&D agreements.
• Conduct IP due diligence for potential acquisitions and partnerships.
• Manage and resolve IP disputes, including infringement and validity issues.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Patent Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Intellectual Property law .
• Strong understanding of patent law, trademark law, and copyright law, with experience in the technology sector.
• Proven ability to develop and execute IP strategies.
• Experience in IP licensing, litigation, and due diligence.
• Excellent technical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex IP concepts clearly.
