About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Intellectual Property Lawyer to join their respected legal team in Norwich . This role requires expertise in advising clients on the protection, enforcement, and commercialization of their intellectual property assets, including patents, trademarks, copyright, and designs. You will manage a varied caseload, assisting businesses in navigating the complexities of IP law, drafting licensing agreements, and resolving disputes. Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on all aspects of intellectual property law , including patents, trademarks, copyright, and trade secrets.
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP-related agreements, such as licensing, assignment, and collaboration agreements.
• Manage trademark registration and portfolio management for clients.
• Represent clients in IP disputes, including infringement litigation and opposition proceedings.
• Conduct IP due diligence for corporate transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Provide strategic advice on IP protection, exploitation, and enforcement strategies.

Requirements

• A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years of experience in intellectual property law.
• Proven experience in advising on trademark, copyright, and patent law.
• Strong understanding of IP litigation and dispute resolution.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, particularly for IP-related contracts.
• Ability to provide commercially astute advice on IP strategy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
