Prisoners Building Homes (PBH) is looking for anInterim Commercial & Procurement Lead to provide immediate senior commercial, quantity surveying, cost and procurement leadership.
This is a hands‑on interim assignment. You’ll strengthen commercial controls, provide early cost and viability advice, develop procurement strategies, progress priority tenders and negotiations, and intervene where commercial, contractual, procurement or supplier issues could affect delivery.
We’re looking for a senior commercial professional with strong practical construction procurement and cost‑management experience who can move confidently between programme‑level strategy and detailed delivery. You’ll understand competitive tendering, commercial negotiation, contract award and supplier management, and be comfortable providing constructive challenge in a public‑sector environment.
A key part of the assignment will be helping PBH strengthen its commercial operating model.
We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Successful candidates must have an independent right to work in the UK before starting their employment.
Recruitment timetable
Recruitment will operate on a rolling basis for approximately 7–10 days. Applications will be shortlisted as they arrive, with interviews taking place on a rolling basis from 1 st September. Offers may be made as soon as suitable candidates are identified, so the recruitment process may close once an appointment is made. The successful associate is expected to start in September 2026 (preferably).
