Interim Payroll Manager
ASAP Start
£250 - £450 Per Day DOE
We are seeking an experienced Interim Payroll Manager to take ownership of end-to-end payroll for a fast-paced organisation.
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can ensure payroll is accurate, compliant and delivered on time, while also improving processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end payroll process across multiple payrolls.
Process starters, leavers, salary changes, overtime, deductions, benefits and statutory payments.
Manage pensions, reconciliations, reporting and year-end activities.
Act as the payroll subject matter expert for HR, Finance, managers and employees.
Resolve payroll queries and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data.
Experience Required
Strong end-to-end UK payroll management experience.
Variable-hours payroll experience would be advantageous.
Advanced Excel skills, particularly payroll analysis and reconciliation.
Proven experience improving payroll processes and controls.
CIPP qualification desirable.
Ideal background: Someone who is hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable taking complete ownership of payroll within a busy operational environment
