Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Blyth, Northumberland, UK

We are working with our client who is a Tier 1 main contractor, with a strong reputation in data centres, life sciences, commercial, and infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, to recruit an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor.
This role sits on one of the largest data centre developments in the UK - a c.£10 billion hyperscale campus in Blyth, delivering up to 10 data centre buildings across a 100-hectare site.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of monthly, interim, and final valuations, applications for payment, and cost reconciliations for contracts, sub-contractors, specialists, and suppliers
Support the ongoing review of cash flow and contract positions
Assist with the procurement of sub-contract packages, working closely with the Procurement Manager
Carry out take-offs and measurement of works to support the Estimating, Procurement, and Planning departments
Support the preparation of contract final accounts for completed sections of the works
Assist in the examination of contract documents and help identify any anomalies
Record and track details relating to contractual delays and variations
Work closely with, and receive guidance from, senior members of the commercial team to develop technical and contractual knowledgeRequirements
3-5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Experience with a main contractor advantageous
Previous project experience on major construction, data centre, or industrial projects a plus
Working towards chartership (RICS/SCSI or equivalent) desirable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good IT skills
Understanding of NEC forms of contracting desirableBenefits
