Inventory and Stock Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organized Inventory and Stock Controller to join their operational team in Sheffield . This role is vital for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficient management of all stock within the warehouse. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust inventory control systems, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies to optimize stock levels and prevent losses. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using the company's Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to verify stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve any stock discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor stock levels, ensuring they are within optimal ranges and reporting on potential shortages or overstock situations.
• Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure efficient stock rotation and storage.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory control , stock management, or a related warehousing role.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and stock management principles.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
