About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage inventory accuracy and optimization for their operations, working remotely from Portsmouth . This role is vital for ensuring that inventory data is precise, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing procedures to maintain high levels of stock accuracy across multiple locations. You will work closely with warehouse teams and system administrators to guarantee the integrity of inventory records, using your analytical skills to identify root causes of variances and propose solutions. This fully remote position offers a chance to be instrumental in maintaining operational efficiency through accurate inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and reduce shrinkage.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory control, stocktaking, or a related warehousing role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote environment.
