Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and organised Inventory Control Specialist to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across all systems. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to minimise stock loss and optimise inventory management. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining essential on-site duties with the flexibility of remote work, ensuring efficient operations and accurate record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of stock records.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Monitor inventory levels and advise on replenishment needs to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Analyse inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
• Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure smooth stock flow and reconciliation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an inventory control or stock management role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a hybrid setup.
