Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join their operations team, supporting activities across multiple sites including Sunderland . This remote role is crucial for maintaining accurate stock records, minimising discrepancies, and optimising inventory levels to support operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for analysing inventory data, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to improve stock accuracy and management processes. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the company's WMS.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Analyse inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend improvements.
• Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure optimal stock levels.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory control , stock management, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Good understanding of inventory best practices and logistics principles.
• Excellent reporting and data analysis capabilities.
