Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join their dynamic logistics team based in Manchester . This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our extensive stock. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring inventory control procedures, conducting regular stocktakes, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of inventory management principles, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts and regular physical inventory checks to verify stock levels.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
• Implement and maintain robust inventory control procedures and policies.
• Monitor stock movement and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
• Generate reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and stock rotation.
• Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management software and WMS .
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to conduct physical counts and manual data entry with precision.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain principles.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
