About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join their team in Manchester . This position is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our stock levels, ensuring efficient warehouse operations. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and identifying discrepancies, thereby safeguarding company assets and enabling accurate forecasting and order fulfillment. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counting and physical stock takes.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures.
• Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and recommend appropriate actions.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items to prevent damage or loss.
• Generate regular inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
• Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure smooth material flow and stock replenishment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory control , stock management, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and cycle counting methodologies.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a warehouse environment.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
