About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join their remote team, supporting operations in Leeds . This role is vital for maintaining accurate inventory records, analyzing stock levels, and implementing strategies to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock management. You will work closely with the warehouse and procurement teams to ensure that inventory data is precise, leading to improved operational efficiency and reduced costs. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the company's Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to reduce shrinkage, obsolescence, and carrying costs.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to forecast stock needs and manage stock levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Strong proficiency with WMS software and inventory management principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software for data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
