Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join their remote team, supporting operations in Leeds . You will work closely with the warehouse and procurement teams to ensure that inventory data is precise, leading to improved operational efficiency and reduced costs. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using the company's Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to reduce shrinkage, obsolescence, and carrying costs.
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate root causes.
• Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to forecast stock needs and manage stock levels.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
• Strong proficiency with WMS software and inventory management principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software for data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
