Inventory Control Specialist

About the Role

Our client requires a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join their operations team in Manchester . This role is critical for maintaining accurate stock levels, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficiency of the entire inventory management process. You will be responsible for implementing and refining inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and utilizing inventory management software to track stock movements. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to upholding the integrity of our client's stock data, supporting the wider logistics and operations functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage all inventory levels across multiple storage locations.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and effectively.
• Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures and policies.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
• Operate and maintain inventory management systems (IMS) and related hardware.

Requirements

• Previous experience in inventory control , stocktaking, or warehouse operations.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to perform physical stock counts accurately.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and stock flow.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
