About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join their logistics team in Leeds . This hybrid role involves maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across our warehousing facilities. You will be responsible for implementing and refining inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and resolving discrepancies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize loss. Your expertise will be vital in supporting efficient supply chain operations and providing reliable data for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system inventory and physical stock.
• Implement and maintain robust inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory for appropriate action.
• Generate regular reports on inventory accuracy, stock rotation, and potential issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to forecast demand and manage stock replenishment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in using inventory management software (IMS) and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory principles.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a hybrid work model.
