About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join their operations team in Edinburgh . This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across all warehouse locations. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize loss and optimize stock management. This hybrid position offers a great opportunity to work with advanced inventory systems and contribute to the efficiency of the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) .
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for process improvement.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and other departments to ensure efficient stock rotation and management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory control , stock management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, with periods of remote and on-site work in Edinburgh .
