Our client is searching for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join their dedicated team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK . This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's stock levels, ensuring that inventory data is precise and up-to-date. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and working closely with the warehouse and purchasing departments to minimize discrepancies and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Your attention to detail will be key to optimizing stock management and supporting overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and physical stocktakes.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage the receiving and put-away process, ensuring items are accurately recorded and stored.
- Process stock adjustments, transfers, and returns efficiently and correctly.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Inventory Control or a related warehouse/stock management role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to conduct physical inventory counts accurately and efficiently.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with different departments.
