Inventory Controller - Manufacturing Supply Chain

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to manage stock levels and material flow within their manufacturing supply chain in Norwich . This hybrid role involves overseeing warehouse operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the timely availability of materials for production. You will play a crucial role in optimizing stock efficiency, reducing waste, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of inventory management principles and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory using the company's inventory management system.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder points, initiating purchase orders as needed.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
• Organize warehouse layout to maximize space efficiency and ease of access.
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure material availability for manufacturing schedules.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a similar logistics role.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and stock control methods.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various departments.
