Inventory Controller
Location: Long Ashton, Bristol
Salary: Competitive
Type: Permanent
ARCA Consulting is working with a rapidly growing, high-performance engineering business operating at the forefront of the automotive and motorsport sector. We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to support the management and control of materials and components across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
You will take ownership of inventory accuracy, stock control and Goods In/Goods Out activities, working closely with Production, Engineering, Finance, Procurement and Logistics.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing Goods In/Goods Out, including inspection, ERP receipts, stock movements and supplier returns.
* Maintaining accurate ERP inventory records and leading regular, rolling and year-end stock checks.
* Reviewing stock for obsolescence and managing stock discrepancies and non-conformances.
* Supporting BOMs, production orders, warehouse picks and kitting activities.
* Ensuring materials and stock are available to support production requirements.
* Working with Finance, Procurement and Build teams on inventory-related issues.
* Maintaining relevant documentation, including CoCs and delivery notes.
* Identifying issues with specifications, materials and engineering drawings.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in inventory, stock control, stores, materials or logistics, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
* Experienced with ERP systems; Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience would be advantageous.
* Able to work independently, prioritise effectively and solve problems proactively.
* A strong communicator and team player with a genuine commitment to continuous improvement.
* Forklift experience would be desirable.
