About the Role
Our client is seeking a driven and ambitious Investment Banker Associate to join their bustling finance team in Birmingham . This role is crucial for supporting deal execution, client advisory services, and strategic financial transactions. You will work on a variety of corporate finance projects, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and financial advisory services. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of capital markets, contributing to the firm's success in providing expert financial guidance to a diverse clientele in the West Midlands .
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions, debt, and equity transactions.
- Develop complex financial models, valuation analyses, and pitch book materials.
- Conduct due diligence, market research, and industry analysis to support client engagements.
- Coordinate with clients, legal counsel, and other advisors throughout the transaction process.
- Manage junior team members and contribute to the overall development of the investment banking division.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable companies), and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, corporate finance theory, and transaction processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong work ethic.
