About the Role
Our client is seeking a driven and meticulous Investment Banker Associate to join their thriving practice in Birmingham . This role is integral to the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and advisory services for a diverse client base. You will be responsible for financial modeling, deal analysis, client communication, and supporting senior bankers throughout transaction processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, a deep understanding of corporate finance, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a demanding, results-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO, and merger models.
- Conduct valuation analysis and market research for potential transactions.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and transaction-related documents.
- Assist in managing deal processes, including due diligence and coordination with legal and accounting advisors.
- Support senior bankers in client meetings and negotiations.
- Monitor capital markets and identify potential opportunities for clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
- Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., CapIQ, FactSet).
- Strong understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
