About the Role

Our client, a leading financial institution, is actively seeking a driven and meticulous Investment Banking Associate to join their established team in Coventry . This role is critical in supporting the execution of complex financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and advisory services. You will work closely with Directors and Managing Directors, contributing significantly to deal structuring, due diligence, and client relationship management. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital markets, and strategic advisory transactions.
• Develop intricate financial models, valuation analyses, and detailed transaction marketing materials (e.g., CIMs, presentations).
• Conduct comprehensive industry research, market analysis, and due diligence for client engagements.
• Support senior bankers in client meetings, presentations, and relationship management activities.
• Coordinate with legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors throughout the transaction process.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts on deal execution and financial analysis tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation techniques (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable companies), and Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, M&A processes, and corporate finance principles.
• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of professionalism.
